Tonstad is the administrative centre of Sirdal Municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located at the northern end of the lake Sirdalsvatnet in the Sira river valley. The 1.29-square-kilometre (320-acre) village has a population (2026) of 939 and a population density of 728 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,890/sq mi). Tonstad Hydroelectric Power Station and the Tonstad ski center are both located in and around this village. The Tonstad Church is also located in the village.
